Amandeep Singh, 49, is being held in Burlington County, NJ following his arrest for a double murder in Prince William County following the feud with other residents of the home on the 8900 block of Hanson Grove Court in Manassas Sunday, Oct. 13, Prince William County police said.
Singh gunned down Nicole and Josh Davis, both 45, sometime before he fled to Evesham, NJ, seeking his estranged wife, police in Prince William County, VA and Evesham, NJ said.
Evesham officers had been called to a home on Kelly Drive around 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, where Singh had been standing outside pointing a gun and threatening the homeowner Sunday morning. By the time officers arrived, Singh had left.
Singh was found in Medford, NJ and arrested without incident. He was found in possession of a .40 caliber handgun, believed to have been involved in the assault in Evesham Township, along with an AK47 rifle, with four fully loaded high-capacity magazines.
That's when police in Prince William County, VA were contacted, and responded to the Hanson Grove Court home in Manassas, they said.
There, officers found a door of the house unlocked, and both Nicole and Josh were found dead in the basement having suffered gunshot wounds, according to police. Other residents of the home were unharmed.
While investigating the incident, detectives learned of another incident that happened the day before: Singh held two other family members, a 50-year-old woman, and a 53-year-old woman, against their will in a bedroom of the home with a gun, authorities said.
At one point, Singh discharged the firearm near both family members, but no one was shot, police said. Singh also struck one of the family members while holding the firearm before placing his hands around the neck of the other family member. The parties eventually separated, and the other family members left the home. That incident was not immediately reported to police.
At some point following the incident, Singh shot and killed Nicole and Josh Davis in the basement. That's when he left for New Jersey in an attempt to find his own family, police said.
Singh remains held in New Jersey, where he also kicked an Evesham officer, pending a court hearing and extradition to Virginia. He's facing charges in both states.
